Able Hands Appliance Repair
RETIREMENT
end of August, 2025
Donald is announcing a new phase in his long career –
RETIREMENT!
Since he has never been retired, he has not yet determined his
next
course or next adventure. Donald considers this as a sort of
renaissance
or new season of opportunity. His desire is still to serve others
and find
new ways to lend a hand, in an “able hands” way, to neighbors.
So, although he will not be scheduling service calls for your
broken
appliance, he plans to stay active in the community, doing what
he can
to be of service to his neighbor.
After all, that has been his pattern since he was a boy, born,
raised,
and employed in the Monadnock area.
And I know this man, having been with him all these many years. I
hope you had the opportunity to meet him, too.
WITH SINCERE THANKS TO OUR CUSTOMERS,

Testimonials
Maryel C. -- "When my dryer wouldn't start, I called Able Hands right away. Over the years he has repaired so many things for me...an oven door that fell off, a washer that spun off center, etc. He always came and if it wasn't worth fixing he told me. This time the fix was simple. I just needed to hold the start button a little longer. But he discovered that my dryer vent hose was obsolete, outdated and recommended replacing it. Also the hoses for the washer were in need of replacing and fused in place because of years of wear. He patiently pried them off and replaced them all the time maintaining a conversation about his 3 years in Washington. He also helped me hang a heavy mirror and put the wheels on my new wet/dry vac. I'm so glad he is back in the area and would trust him with any repairs; he is extremely knowledgeable and up to date with appliances."
Christine M. -- "On behalf of all the volunteers at the Peterborough Food Pantry, please accept
our thanks for your kind, prompt, and generous service to our equipment. We
couldn't feed people from 14 towns without good people like you, willing to
help us out."
Linda K. -- "Donald went above and beyond on the service of our washer. He returned several
times, did troubleshooting until it was properly fixed. He was very, very neat and left
the area clean. We won't use anyone else and we recommend him to all our friends."
Pat C. -- "While cleaning the lint filter on my clothes dryer, I had the misfortune of catching my ring on the vent door and losing a stone out of my ring. My husband took the dryer apart but had no luck finding the diamond. I called Don at Able Hands and he came to my rescue. Not only did he find the lost diamond, but after he reassembled the dryer, it worked better than ever! I am thankful for his expertise and plan to call him in the future."
Eve -- "It is so nice to have someone with your talents, who is capable, willing, dependable and keeps his word."
Beth L. -- "Thank you so much for your wise advice and for twice getting us out of a jam! You have made a stressful time much less stressful."
